Project Breakdown

Eastside Quarter is a landmark regeneration of the former Bexleyheath Civic Centre, blending new retail and leisure facilities with a vibrant, sustainable community. Central to the project are the private balconies across 518 homes, providing generous outdoor spaces that seamlessly integrate nature into urban living.

Residents also enjoy landscaped podium gardens, communal gardens, a concierge, and a private gym, emphasising the value of outdoor living. This regeneration not only revitalises the Civic Centre but also enhances the area’s architectural character while supporting the local economy and fostering a sense of community.

The Solution

Bellway Homes sought a durable, high-quality decking solution for the 2,683 sqm of balconies at Eastside Quarter, prioritising both performance and style. After consulting with EnviroBuild's technical team, they selected Pro-Grip Aluminium Decking Boards in Anthracite Grey.

The anthracite grey decking provided a beautifully engineered, non-slip finish that perfectly complemented the brick façade and bespoke steel balcony balustrades, enhancing the sleek, contemporary design. Non-combustible steel pedestals and aluminium joists ensured a solid, compliant base for smooth installation, creating low-maintenance outdoor spaces that harmonise with the architectural style and adheres to regulations.
