For balconies requiring a sloped water collecting surface fixed onto flat balcony steels, fully compliant to BS 8579.
Patented support brackets fix directly to steels and provide a great level of control over the build-up height and drainage slope. They are used in conjunction with non-combustible aluminium bearers and can create sloped surfaces from 45mm build up height.
A sloped balcony surface is less likely to have standing water or ice thereby providing a safer surface for vulnerable customers.

Shim Joist Brackets
Shim Joist Brackets provide precise levelling and secure support for support bearers on structural steels with a unique patented solution to save precious installation time. The brackets, which come in 4 height sizes, are fixed down to steels though 6mm holes in the bracket base and bearers are secured through slotted holes in the bracket sides.

Border Drainage Channel
The complete balcony border drainage system allows for water collected on the balcony surface to be funnelled and directed to any point on the balcony in compliance with BS 8579. The drainage channel has integrated slots which hold purpose designed brackets to secure sections together without the need to screw through the channel to improve water-tightness. Drainage outlets can be installed both in the bottom of the channel or where balcony steels don't allow access to bottom drainage, outlets can be installed the side of the channel using a captive nut design, they also come with a removable grate designed to prevent debris build up. The profile is engineered from T6 6063 aluminium and coated with durable, textured Qualicoat standard powder coating, up to Seaside Level 2.
